14 February 2013

The month of love ;

So it's the 14th of February, the month of love, the month of celebration.
Hello all! (:

How are you guys been doing lately?
Speaking of my birthday 4 days ago, I'm happy to celebrate this special occasion together with family at home. It was very peaceful, which was exactly what I really wanted. Thank you god, once again for listening to my secret wish. I hope you'll realise my wishlists that I murmured to you before I blew the candles. Albeit whispered too quickly and maybe it was unclear, I hope that you'll hear what I said.

Yesterday, I met up with a close friend at Kajang's Metro Point. :) It was a brief catch up, sitting and talking about life and future. Being the sweety pie, she treated me a slice of cheese cake (crapIforgotthename). Thank you, Carmen. It's nice and hope we'll be able to meet more often in our near future! :) :)

Also, I'd like to take the opportunity to thank each and every one of you who sent me birthday wishes via facebook, twitter, instagram, and text messages. Thank you for the heartwarming phone calls, thank you for the angpows (parents), thank you for the clothes and a bag (sister), thank you for the gift (Wanying), thank you for the blogpost (Wan Ying), thank you for the sweet birthday song -instrumental version (dear you) , thank you for the handwritten thoughts, thank you for everything, loved ones. :) It wasn't as grand as what I had last year, but I am blessed. :)

CNY thus far is fine. Better than last year, I think. Relatives tend to come to my house more often to have dinner with us since my home only left me and my parents. At least, it's far lovelier than last year's. :)
Recently,
Facebook timeline has surprised me with many positive news, from friends well mostly my juniors.
Some married, some engaged, where else some have found themselves a human being of their opposite sex.
How incredible to see them feeling loved one by one. :)

But well, the concept of love isn't as easily understandable as one can thought. It can be a verb or a noun. It's not just merely about feelings and it's definitely different from another term called infatuation.
Make sure he/she is the one whom you can be with in the future, try to understand and get to know each other before hand, it's the best that you could find somebody who has similar personal interests, someone whom you can go along well without much complications, someone who loves you not just your face, your appearance but also your soul, beauty, flaws and your heart. :)

To those little girls/boys who are a lot younger than me, don't be too rush into love yet. Do not fall in love because your friends did. Fall in love when you're ready, not when you're lonely, yeah?
Make things clear, priortize and do not let this affect your relationship between family, your self esteem or perhaps your own personal education. A lot of HK, Taiwanese or Korean dramas are creating a lot of dreamers among the young generations (well I'm included as well, but that was years ago :P ) but you guys must know, some of those "grand romantic proposal/scenes" only happened in "dramas". If you expect those "dramas" to happen in real life, it's 101%ly rare. Unless you're bloody bloody rich. Hahaha so dream on, fellow dreamers!
On a brighter note, it's always nice to daydream the things that you wish to happen sometimes. It feels best when it really come true one day. :)

If you're asking me what I was doing during my Valentines, I'll say I read, I blogged, I had family time, I slept, I doodled, I instagram-ed, I uploaded photos, and I made a video.
What video you ask? That's for a mystery someone to find out. :)

After 20 years living on this Earth, I believe in fate and destiny. Do you?

29 January 2012

All well, ends well ;

Read back my old archives. All of them were either craps or rants or perfectly random blogposts which were full of ENTHUSIASM.
*salute self

I WAS THAT ENTHUSIASM once upon a time. :P

Now? -old already. BOH LATT LIAO!
hahahahahahaha xD (if you can get the joke) xD xD

Anyway, some of my high school friends came over to my house for a cny visit three days ago. It was during a pretty HOT afternoon, where the Sun used up his best energy to generate the best HEAT for us. -.-
But THAAAAT never stop us from munching all ze cny cookies and fried nuggets though. :P
And after the short chat, eating and endless-photos-session, Su Ann, drove us to Yoke Wei's house for another cny visit! :D
We did not sit for long as Su Ann has something later on in the evening.

Like how the usual CNY routine, we did NOT miss the chance to.. ..to ..  .. ... to... ..

gam...ble.
(for the sake of fun :P )

Jinks.
One Lup? Black Jack? Tong Ngao? (Slave Beef) lol
Mehh, I played them all :P

I won most of the rounds for Black Jack. This is all thanks to my gameboy skills that I USED to master and hella yeah, I'm still a pro. *coughs *COUGHS
HAHAHAHAHAHA. Couldn't stop praising self. Slap me? HEHE.

Meanwhile, I sound so relaxing, don't I?
I'll be having Pure Maths test on Tuesday, Applied Maths and Physics on Thursday, GP on Friday yet I'm still very chill-laxing, don't I?!

BAHHH! K.BYE.

P/S : I wanna have a collection of self-potrait one day.
PP/S : I mean, self-timer NOT camwhore photos. Or potrait-photos by other photographers. Perhaps?
PPP/S : I'm still VERY enthusiastic, btw. Gees. See you at college! :3

Day 2 of the Dragon Year ;

FOOD.  Needless to say, the meal was more than just heaven. (Y)

Wanna know something cool?
All of us were on skype with our Aussie families the whole entire afternoon instead of the usual yearly calls. Since it's expensive to make phonecalls, internet certainly has made our life so much easier!

:)
Two-laptops-at-the-dining-table, two webcams pointing at you.
(You have no where to escape. Muahaahahaha *random laughs)

So whenever we talk, we tend to look LEFT and RIGHT WHILE eating. (lol)
It was really nice, exchanging new year wishes,
as well as
sharing different kind of Malaysian-Aussie-jokes?
xD

This dog here named - Popper is an ultra shy creature
whenever a camera is one inch away from her.

She is, however obedient and nice.
She doesn't bark as she wish,
she doesn't growl when she sees my presence.
Best of all, she never attempt to pretend to bite me or chase me whenever I look at her.

Hahahahaha :P

I told you that she's a camera-shy-animal, right?

I PROVED YOU WRONGGG!

xD
because..
..
...

I managed to snap a photo with HER.

Yay me?

xD
xD
XD

HEHE.The photos above were just SOME of the shots that I snapped today.
Well, I'm putting my CNY photography session to an end here.
Gotta start concentrating on serious task (you-know-what) now, otherwise I'll really faint after this Sunday.

NEVERMIND if you don't get me.
I am not expecting you to understand anyway.
Gees.

Imma end my post with this emo photo!
(unedited, because I don't know how to and I want the photo to be natural)

Rate? :)

Yee Sang ;

When I tossed these up, I whispered, "10A's for SPM please".
"10 A's for SPM PLEASEEE"

The non-chinese might find this really unique. Half the fun in eating this food is by tossing of the salad. The diners at the table have to stand up, ready to proceed to toss the shredded ingredients into the air with chopsticks while saying various "auspicious wishes" OUT LOUD. The action of tossing is known as Lo Hei (where people often says : LOU AH. LOU AH..) which symbolizes increasing prosperity, abundance and vigor.

It is also believed that the height of the toss reflects the height of the diner's growth in fortunes, thus diners are expected to toss enthusiastically :D
Some of the examples wishes in Cantonese are :
*TAI KAH SAN TAI KEEN HONG AHH ( May everyone stays healthy)
*SAI LOU KOH FAI KOU JIONG TAI (May all the kids grow faster)
*TUKK SHEE GEHH HOK YIP JUM BOU (May all the students improve in their studies)
*ZOU GONG GEHH SI SI SUN LEI (To those who works, may everything goes smoothly)

Incase you (my reader) are still unsure what am I talking about, this food is commonly called as YEESANG (in cantonese), YUSHENG (in mandarin).
Yusheng literally means "raw fish" but since "fish ()" is commonly conflated with its homophone (same sound but different meaning) "abundance ()", Yúshēng (鱼生) is interpreted as a homophone for Yúshēng (余升) meaning an increase in abundance. Therefore, yusheng is considered a symbol of abundance, prosperity and vigor.
It is often served as part of a multi-dish dinner, usually as the appetizer due to its symbolism of "good luck" for the new year. Usually, the Chinese would consume it on Renri, the seventh day of the Chinese New Year, although in practice it may be eaten on any convenient day during Chinese New Year (1st to 15th Day).

The Yee Sang is characterized by it’s colorfulness. It is served in a large flat platter with vegetables arranged around a small serving of raw fish in the middle. It is a dish with more than 20 ingredients which usually consists of strips of raw fish (most commonly salmon), mixed with shredded vegetables and a variety of sauces and condiments, among other ingredients.

A MUST remember when you eat yee sang : The higher you toss, the greater your fortunes! :D

Conversation between . .

Me and Sis S

He's flowing Canon blood! *points to her friend who uses a Canon DSLR*
We are having Nikon blood in our body, while SHE *points at me*.. a mixture of Canon, Nikon, Sony, or what?
*huh? in silent*
What do you want? Canon or Nikon?
Nikonnnn! *replies in an excited tone*
HAHAHA! *claps*

Me and Uncle S

Khim ahhh, faster get yourself a DSLR. All these DSLR bags are waiting, and I'm waitinggg!
*grins*
...

Hearing all these is making me happy. ESPECIALLY the second conversation :]

Told ya' my maternal family is awesome like thaaaat! Save as Draft
Now, a new determination is flowing through every of my brain cells. I'm adding a number in new year resolution.
THAT IS :

I.AM.GOING.TO.GET.MYSELF.A.DSLR.WITH.MY.OWN.MONEY.
hopefully by next year.
Previously, I was thinking to own that camera after pursuing a degree or master at least?
But I changed my mind. How long can we still stay young?
What if the world really comes to an end on 2012 which I hope it's not true but rumours?
Yeah. I am NOT going to demand a single cent from my parents. Either by working, or the amount of money contain in the angpows, OR birthday present in the form of ringgit Malaysia, I am planning to collect at least three to four thousand bucks.

Hint : To those who is planning to give me a birthday present, PLEASE save your money. Don't waste your money buying photo album or anything like that. SAVE IT. On the other way round, if you really really wish to give me something which uses cash, simple.
Go take a red packet, insert that cash into the packet and hand it to me.
That would be much better. :)

Yeah. In that way, I will feel happy. I can totally taste the satisfaction of getting what I want by my own hard work.

Just a short note before I go to bed ;
A bucket of thank you to my cousin sister, Sue Yen who made my dream come true :)
I've been wanting a mp3 for ages!
Excuse my outdate-ness or whatever, I don't own any of that although I'm already 18. Not even a camera phone with a mp3 =_=
I.am.not.kidding.

She got me this, instead.
An ipod shuffle which is PINK in colour. (This is an EPIC present)
Which I couldn't stop thanking her :')

ALSO, I got my very first birthday present from LeeWanYing, who bought a sorta-like-shirt-but-look-like-dress at the same time. She passed it to my sister who brought it back from her work place last week.
Seriously, thank youuuu! :)

Rooster tahun ini ;

Sosososososo. it's the THIRD day of CNY.
What's up? :)

It has been really quiet since Thursday. The amount of angpows that I received on Day 1 has deteriorated! Not much people came though :L
What happened lah? Economy crisis? Tsktsk.

Spending time at PJ (Petaling Jaya) on Day 2 (which was yesterday) was FUN.
No doubt, day 2 of the CNY is always great, no matter it's boring or not. I like talking to my (maternal) cousins :)

Oh anyhoo, this is the analysis by the I don't know so called "fengshui" expert or what. I just got this from a show at NTV 7.

To those who was borned under the year of Rooster, *coughs.me.coughs*
There will me some accident happened which you need to take extra precaution. You might be blamed or get sued for things that you have done. Don't fight over small issues. Be patient and do a lot of charity work.

Career/Work - 2 stars
Some misunderstanding might happen easily, please maintain a good communication among each other.

Love - 2 stars
Health - 2 Stars (what the hell @___@)
There will be a lot of problems. For example, gossips and rumours.
To avoid this, don't put something which is green in colour on the north side of your house as green represents "Wood" which will bring water (Lol, Idk how to explain this but this is how the expert said)
Instead, put something red like a lamp to reduce the "Wood".

93' babies, HEADS UP!
This is a reminder for you.
Your education this year might not be good. You must put a lot of efforts in order to success :/

Overall - 2 and a 1/2 stars. -____-

People borned under the dog year is the best.
They get 5 stars for every category. This is so UNFAIRRRRR!
No wonder, my sister was so happy :3

and MOST IMPORTANTLY,

Take care, folks. Weather is changing, earth is transforming.
Nothing is more important than HEALTH.
Please (to those who's celebrating), PLEASEEE
save a packet of angpow for me :P
Haha.
 Last but not least,

恭喜发才, 红包拿来!
xD
