Honestly speaking, I have never felt so accomplished after I finished reading a good book. Especially when you finished reading in less than 12 hours.
Notes : Quoted lines with Verdana (font and bold) are some of my favourite lines that I picked from the novel.
A book worth 4.9 out of 5.0 from me with special mixture of themes definitely deserves a soft spot here, in my blog.
I have always thought that all Sparks's books must be romantically touching with some sadness in between or at the end. Or the usual male character with war/marine background with long distance relationship or such?
But THIS book (to my surprise), it's nothing related to war, sad love story or religion.
It's about family, love, friendship, kindness, courage, violence, (chronic) alcoholism, power, fear, innocence and imagination. (with very little sex scenes throughout - bonus! less distracting, I mean haha) Well...I can't deny, I love this combo!
The plot started off with a general introduction of the (main) female character, moving on to the (not so important) side characters, then the (main) male character and from there, the story starts. Quite naturally. Actually I like how the plot is twisted with suspense as I read on. It didn't bore me at all!
Truthfully speaking, introductory part is always the slowest part and it gets me a while to get used to the characters and their roles and once I am familiar with it, (BUMM!) the suspense creeps in slowly, in different forms!
"Giving voice to the truth of her past meant opening the door to the future."
There are 2 different kind of suspense Sparks is trying to put in here. One is romantically suspense, y'know the usual adrenaline rush in every romantic book you read. Two is the kind that will make you criminally ill, in which you'll start to worry whether the devil will kill the good character/the innocence or the otherwise. Yep.
These two suspense is slotted in well and I must say, that was a good job done, Mr. Sparks! #clapsclaps
"That's what courage is. If she weren't scared, she wouldn't need courage in the first place."
Somewhere along the themes of family, friends and love, there is a "violence", "power" and "courage" in between, and followed by "kindness" and back to "love".
"I truly believe that while love can hurt, love can also heal."
It's not the typical love story that will make you say, "Ah, love stories like this will only exist in books or movies." This, however (I don't know why) the whole story just felt so relatable and real. Although I was a little taken aback by the "imaginary" ending, it is still possible that things like that does happen in real life.
"No buts.", he said. "because there are none. You see yourself as someone who couldn't get away. I see the courageous woman who escaped. You see yourself as someone who should be ashamed or guilty because she stopped it from happening ever again. Not many women have the strength to do what you did.."
And I must admit, I absolutely love the courageous, strong and independent characteristics in the female character. Although she was quite stupid in the past, to be blinded with abusive love (well that is why love is blind), I am glad that she made the decision to leave and fight to love herself more.
In this book, the main male role is (of course) the man of one in a million. I simply love his sensitive character in the novel. I like how love, believe and simplicity shape him into an understanding and kind human being that I think man like this still exist in this real world but too bad, it's kind of really really rare these days. #ohtheregoesmydescendedhope
but I swear that I'm gonna marry this kind of man, someday....... ..............(hopefully.)
I guess the man's genuine heart and simplicity (in this story) melt my heart every time I read. Not to forget, those heartwarming lines from both characters makes me smile from ear to ear as I flip the pages. <3
On the other hand, the violence part in the story was pretty good. The effect of chronic alcoholism and mentally ill thinking are quite scary sometimes. It was quite well described and it stimulates my sympathetic nervous system every single time there is a negative intention of the devil in this story.
And....... that's about it! Will definitely place this book together with 'Jane's Melody' on my bookshelf so that I will know that these are the books that I won't mind rereading again and again.
"It had my heart racing by just sitting here, reading it. When a book does that, then you know that it's a good book." :)

"Everyone has a story.
You might think it's not worth telling, but then again, it's a story no one has ever heard. What you do, what you say, how you carry the plot, just might leave a mark on someone."
-Jodi Picoult and Samantha Van Leer.
True, everyone has a story. However, not everyone has the same points of views about the story. For example, from my perspective, I'd think this, this and this. From the second point of view, you/you all might think that, that and that and from the third point of view, he/she/they might think of those, those, this and that.
So for YOU to be at MY perspective, it's not easy. Because YOU might have your personal values and beliefs which is different from mine. For instances, maybe YOU think it is right to spend more time with family rather than friends. On the other hand, I might think that it is right to spend equal time with family and friends because they are both equally important to me. Whereas THEY/some might think that friends are the most important of all, if there is no friends they wouldn't have become who they are now, other than family of course.
The different in opinions go on and on, just for one story.
If you ask, how does mutual understanding meet then?
I'd say there is a bridge in between all these thoughts and point of views.
Those are.. Listen. Respect. Learn. and Appreciate.
LISTEN (sit/calm down and listen.) what people has got to say about it.
RESPECT that everybody has different views/stories and also different ways to express them.
LEARN if that is what makes you realize that, "Ohh, this is something new to me." "Oh, how come that never came across my mind before?" "Ohh, now I get it."
APPRECIATE (whether you have/have not learnt something new, appreciate.) because it takes courage to express how and what you wanna tell to people. It takes guts to deliver your message to people, to let them know what you think.
It still takes time to reach the understanding process but at one point in life, you will.
Because now, (for example) YOU will never understand how I feel until you go through the experiences that I went through. Similarly, I will never comprehend how you take a certain matter so lightly unless I am at your shoe.
Y'know sometimes, during the growing process.. I will come to a point where I understand a certain process, of why it happened and why the person made that decision. I'll be like, "Ahh, now I know why!" or "Ahh, now I understand!"
It feels good when you have reached the understanding stage.
But in certain situation, you will (still) can't figure out why and you're totally clueless of what you can do since what you're supposed to do has already been done.
For example in giving health education, no matter how many times you have remind your patients about the do(s) and don't(s) list, no matter how many times they verbalized understanding, if they are not compliant to what you say, you seriously have no control for that. You have already done your best to include all the information that they need.
Yep, there is definitely a lot of frustration, I know. But sometimes, it's just that. It's up to them to follow or not (although you have done your responsibility and you secretly wish they will do it and on the recovery track.)
Yet again, life and people are not perfect. That, pk you must accept and understand it thoroughly well.

Still head over heels ;
Believe or not, I just finished my third book (Jane's Melody by Ryan Winfield) yesterday in less than 12 hours. Sounds a lil' crazy right?
Like the first book, it is pretty suspenseful, plot is not so predictable (which is good), pages per chapter is well organized, so as each hour ticks by, BAM. I'm done with the book #laughsandcrywhatsappemoji
What got me so attracted about the book is not the storyline (well, it's okay, not too dramatic or non realistic), but it's the characters of the male role in the book. It's just too perfect to be true, sometimes #laughsandcrywhatsappemoji It sounds just like a fairytale as I read along. True, that these type of guys still exist in this world (god knows where they are) BUT these type of species with such characteristic is dying, shall I say extinct-ing (if there's such word for that). Maybe I have met one or two in real life, but meh.
It's just too good to be true, really. Unless I meet one again in the near future, or else please excuse me while I get myself overwhelmed by rereading the book again (which I did, this morning hahaha) #doublelaughsandcrywhatsappemoji
"I didn't know you were such a bookworm!", said my senior.
I didn't know myself either. Especially when the okay-it's-time-to-read-a-book kind of mood comes, I'll read and read and keep on reading like a maniac. *grins
I know I should have concentrate on my studies for my EOS next week but.....L&E (Law and Ethics in short) is just... boring and makes me yawn every.single.time.
No joke.
The terms are enough complicated to make me go dahell(?) one hundred times, at least.
In the meantime I should be preparing for my oral presentations which carry 60% :B
Gah.
While I get nervous about it, let's just stay cool and keep steady til' its arrival, okay? #saysthewisepk #coughs
I'm reading the 4th book now, just fyi.

That satisfaction when..
you finished reading a book within a day. :)
The book is called, "All The Bright Places" by Jeniffer Niven. I'd give it a 4.3 over 5.0
It's little different compared to the normal rom-com book that I read. The themes range from love, suicide, mental health, family, drama and life.
The ending is quite unexpected, the content (I must say) is suspenseful = not boring at all!
And the bonus thing about this book is, there's only little pages in a chapter, unlike those 20 over pages for one chapter and it bored me sometimes to finish one chapter.
All these bonus features made me finish reading it within 24 hours. Woohoo! #awesomelikethat
I didn't intend to complete my reading this early, but I did it! OH wells.
And to be honest, I really really love the satisfaction feeling :)) Although the ending wasn't what I hoped at all, it's still a nice book to read.
I can't reveal much! All I can say is, this book is about a girl who learns how to live from a boy who wants to die. That attractive line caught my brain and heart and made me hunt high and low for it (it is NEWLY released and only 4 books available at MPH SO FAR) during my book shopping with dear roomie.
So what I'm gonna read next? :)
..............................
On another note, hello readers!
It's been months since I typed a word here. Busy and hectic basically just ate parts of my life.
My clinical posting at Seremban just ended last Saturday.
Guess WHAT? I was down with food poisoning with a friend of mine, so on the last day of working both of us were looking like dead fishes out of oxygen and nutrients. Basically both of us lost a lot of electrolyte which resulted in fever, dizziness, fatigue and sleepy. We just wanted to rest and sleep, not moving for ALL DAY LONG. What a drama to end our posting right. Tsk
Speaking of posting, it was quite a different experience for all of us since we went to neurosurgical ward at Hospital Sg. Buloh, gynaecology ward, orthopaedic ward, medical and surgical ward of Hospital T.J. All I could say is, I feel sympathy for patients whom we have encountered at all wards.
Patients that are involved in motor vehicle accidents, fracture, alleged fall, alleged assault, congenital disease, hydrocephalus, stroke, missed abortion, skin cancer, swollen scrotum (but feel no pain) and the list goes on.
This time round, I have also learnt about new diseases/conditions like spina bifida, G6PD enzyme deficiency, TB spondilytis, cervical incompetence, autoimmune hemolytic anemia, Fournier Gangrene, and Xeroderma Pigmentosum.
Well, there wasn't a lot of drama coming from the patients for this posting.. rather, it's from the healthcare providers at certain health institution which the consequences of their responsibility was what actually made the whole situation quite depressing and disappointing. I will not describe what actually happened but I will highlight some keywords here, to remind myself that I will not do that to my patients (ever) in the future.
Here you go :
1) Bilateral deep vein thrombosis --> Above knee amputation
2) Bed sores
3) Harsh and task-oriented
4) Rude/Disrespectful comments
Although it's not your wrongdoings, take it as a good reflection and learn from these mistakes, PK.
On a positive side, I have come to realization that I am feeling more confident and getting better in terms of skills and interprofessional learning session. The 'scared' feeling is slowly fading off, which is pretty good and sounds absolutely positive. Hopefully as I progress, the competency will rise and reach to the top!
I have also personally received good feedback from my mentor that my academic results for class tests improved! I was really delighted to receive that piece of good news. All I need to do is to score scenario based oral presentations! (let's finger cross that I'll do well :3)
Alright then, enough of my thoughts and updates for the day!
Til' then :)
Oh, SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI, my Muslim friends and to those who are celebrating!!

As Promised,
Hahaha back to the story, the first B stands for BIG (did I say it is not Big Beautiful Woman? Ha yes I did, be patient.), the another B stands for BAD (ha, scratch that! It's not beautiful, it's bad!), and finally the big fat W stands for WOLFFFFF. Ah woooooOoooo.
There you go. The Big Bad Wolf Book Sales. ;)
One thing you must know about BBW Book Sales is that they sell books at extremely cheap price. DIRT CHEAP PRICE. Cheapest price you can find elsewhere. :D
.....
Okay, last November I've applied a job online (thanks to Weijan for the recommendation) and I got hired successfully after a short briefing at Book Xcess bookstore, located in the Amcorp Mall (google it if you don't know). So I am the floor and stock crew team member. :) The duration of my work was 21 days, starting from the 3th of December until the 24th December. Hahaha, such a long period don't you think? But nehh, all the sweats, hardwork and the lessons learnt are well paid off. Speaking of a good paying job like this, it is not easy. I repeat, IT IS NOT EASY. It's intensed, tiring, stressful, and boring (if you're not a fan of books). But on the brighter side, you get to know a lotsssss of new people, who eventually become your new cycle of friends of all age, ranging from the 18-30. That's right. If you're a fan of books (like me!), hahaha well I enjoy working with books so I basically don't have much complainsss about it. Peace.
It was my first time working, tbh. What I want to gain in this job is more to experience, rather than the money. I'd love to know how does it feels like to communicate with other people in this society, how to work well with them, how to tolerate yet be strict at the same time, how they behave and such. I am more courageous than before when it comes to talking and requesting. I am quite proud to say that there was no shy-ness or awkwardness in any conversations between me and the people there, it was like.. "Hey! May I help?" and that leads to "Hey buddy!" in the next few hours. The set-up days were stuffy (no air-cond), heaty, stressful (as we need to constantly add in stock above and below the tables from the storage area, arrange them nicely), and crazy (the venue of the sales = 3 halls = it's huge). I was in charge in Children section that time, with Jan, Jeesin, and Mongyen. (it was the most horrible section, so many stuff and books needed to be displayed that we could practically gone mad anytime). All of us felt so relieved whenever the siren alarms - indicating that we're free for 1/2 an hour for our precious lunch/dinner break. Rushing out of the hall like a criminal, the feeling to get some rest is just so good! Haha, sounds like a jail break right?
After setting up, pinning the red clothes, adjusting the huge BBW banners, cashier-counter-packer training, almost of us were ready for the media-preview day. :)
On that day itself, all of us wore BBW-orange T-shirt (that we get for free) and good god, we all looked so cheerful! xD Hahaha. Some of the working mates were assigned to be the superheroes themed- mascots. It was so cool. Some people even designed costumes made of recycleable paper boxes.

OCBC staffs get to shop for the books that they want as well! It was a treasure hunt held, all the staffs were basically running around the hall, grabbing their favourite (as expensive as possible) books away (god knows what book they grabbed :P), hahaha it was amusing and fun looking their happy yet tiring faces when they were heading to the cashier counter. Not long after that, those who got the Preview Passes got the chance to step into the hall to purchase the fresh-from-oven-BOOKS before the date of the official sales. How lucky, weren't they?
The first sentence (almost every) customer said will always be,
"OH MY GOD. *looking left to right, right to left* WHERE SHOULD I START???" with that extremely excited face, pulling their luggage bags/trolley/recycleable bag (on wheels).
WOW I must say. It was my first time encounter with something like this. People actually bring luggage to store their books! WOW. It was indeed wow-I-am-speechless. Pardon me, I've never been to BBW Books Sales before so I don't have the habit of seeing people with luggage in book sales but well I know now. BBW Book Sales is exceptional! :D
One of the epic loud conversation I overheard was,
"Baby you go the children section bringing boy. Girl you go to the fiction area. Boy follows Mama closely, Mum you go to the cookery section and the rest go to where-ever section you want, I'll be at the History section. See y'all here later!" instructed the dad of a family before they said OKAY and separated for their hunts, bringing their own bags.
Yes, it's crazy once again. I saw a lot of book-lovers and book-enthusiasts! <33 It makes me happy, I don't know why. :D
Btw just incase you're wondering, I was assigned to take care of books at Self Help section. :P Met my team mates, exhanged hellos etc. Sooo many books and tables to take care of but blehhh (I shouldn't have rant too much because apparently business's section was hell more than that. Hallelujah I'm in self-help) :D Jee sin was in charge of Religion/Reference section, Jan at cashier counter, and Mong yen at children section. :) Hahaha. In self-help section, my ex-leader went to become part of the sorting team (those who sort unwanted books that were being dumped on the floor by the customers). William was my leader for two weeks, I was so called his "assistant" for two weeks as well. We hardly speak English to each other, guess what we language did we use to communicate? (Cantonese). Hahaha, laugh all you want. I bet none of my friends have ever heard of me speaking Cantonese before. I-myself was surprised too, of course there were times I didn't know what word to substitute the things that I wanted to say so I used English instead. #likeaboss
It feels great actually, at least I have someone to speak Cantonese with, which in turn trained me to become a better and fluent Cantonese speaker. :P (I'll never forget the love story that you told me, William. How you celebrated your anniversary, how sweet you were to your girlfriend, how nervous you were when you wanted to ask my idea about "gift", etc. Okay if you happened to read this, William, don't kill me. Haha. You're a good man!)
Bahhh, during the second week of working days, some of the floor crew team were being dragged to help cashier team due to the massive crowd during the midnight sales, I wasn't excluded. In fact, I was being dragged during the days when my friends came over to look for me. :( I was a little bit upset that I couldn't direct them but I got to meet them at last! <3
Oh yeah, another crazy fact you must know is, BBW Book Sales do open their door to the crowd during midnight! Crazy? Insane? I KNOW. The response was so overwhelming, more people came during midnight/midmorning just to buy the books that they want. :)
Have I not tell you about the food that we ate? Hahaha, food were provided during work, I mean during lunch/dinner break. It was.. well I don't want to tell how it looked or tasted like. There were food stalls on the second floor for the customers who wish to rest before continuing their book shopping. :D KFC, Tomyam stall, Sushi King, Chicken Rice, Pizza Hut, etc. :P Sometimes our crews went up, sneaked to the food stalls and dine there instead. Hahaha, shhh but the tomyam there was the best! The currypuff too. xD
.......
If (you) have been to the last BBW book sales last December, there was a deejay hosting the sales from 9am til 9pm, who is quite informative, and effective in reporting missing items/people SUCH AS baby socks, little innocent kids, baby bottles, wallets, WIFE/HUSBAND and many other valuable (sometimes laughable) items/human beings. The songs being played accordingly was
1) Live While We're Young 2) Skyfall 3) Locked Out Of Heaven 4) Diamonds 5) and the list goes on repeating reapeating and repeating DAILY. Hahaha sounded boring but these songs are so much better than the old songs with no lyrics that were being played during the first week. Bahh, I tell you. If these didn't exist, all the floor teams would be so bored, hearing the sound of chattering crowd, loud scream by kids, bahhh it was so tempting me to sleep. :3 Hee. Thanks again, deejay/s for the entertainment. :)
On not so positive side, some of the crews were being shot by a gun (fire in another word) silently, I mean maybe bosses found out that they violated the rules and hence BANG. (fired). There you go, the intensed mood, the stressful feelings, the will-I-get-shot-by-a-gun-silently-as-well worries, which actually affected one of my days during my work. The fear of getting none after all the hard work, the fear of losing pride. Thankfully, I managed to survive until the end. :) Thanks to my teammate who constantly worked hard with me together, eat together, kill boredom together, have fun together and last but not least being AWESOME together. :)
Hereby I'd like to thank a person as well, for keep cheering me up by sending manymany sweet text messages. :) Those messages really made my day, you mindreader. Can't stop smiling, I became more positive after the period of unnecessary worries. Hence thank you, dear mindreader. :)
When I was part of the huge team, the people that we have to face everyday were the customers. No matter how demanding, how irritating, how nice, how kind, how desperate they are, we have to plaster a smile on our best, trying our best to assist them and answering their multimillion questions. There was a few days when the customers were actually asking for the Chicken Soup Series (which were all sold out on the second day), they even were willing to wait for me to finish my dinner so that I could stock up the series as soon as the sorting team send in any new stock. Hoah, I tell you the pressureeee. :O
Nonetheless, through conversations with them, I get to know more of new books, authors whom I never heard of but who is super duper famous like Mitch Albom, Robert Kiyosaki, Robin Sharma,.. Books like "Fifty Shades of Grey", "Outliers", "Don't Sweat The Small Stuff", "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People", "How To Win Friends and Influence People", "Rich Brother, Rich Sister", "How Starbucks Saved My Life", "The Five People You Meet In Heaven".. have you heard any of these titles before? Good if you had. I was the otherwise. Before the second week of working, these titles sounded so strange to me! As time passes, I can recognise the books so well now to the point that I grin whenever I'm at mph bookstore, reminiscing the days at BBWBS. :)
Well, the best memory in BBW working life is definitely the awesome people I met there. :) I just love the togetherness and I'm missing everyone now! Not to mention, the higher status- staffs are equally friendly too. Kak Lina.. Ms. Christine.. Mr. Mogan.. Ms. Samantha.. :) Despite of some manager who were strict (which scared me a little) but I totally understand that they are doing their job in monitoring us. :)
On the last day of the sales, all of the team mates couldn't wait for the arrival of 9pm! :) The deejay, upon receiving requests from the customers to extend the time, he finally announced,
" Ladies and gentlemen. Here is a good news I would like to share with you. The sales is going to close at 10 o'clock tonight! So hurry up, do the quick book shopping, grab as much books as you can."
All the crews = jawdropped.
Some of the customers did chuckle and said, "Haha, extra pay for you guys!" continuing picking her book and ciao. :B
......
During the last minute, all of us gathered to count down. And ding ding! "Thank you ladies and gentlemen for all the supports. The BBW Book Saled officially ends tonight. Goodnight!". Woohoo. \\m// Hell, it was very fun. :D
On the 'dismantle' day, it was pretty tiring. Putting the books back into paperboxes, wrap it, arrange them in the palettes nicely and wrap it like a huge present, which to be sent to the storage area. Our last dinner was KFC + Pizza Hut + soft drinks. ;')
And then! A few months after that, which was end of February to early of March this year, I got myself engaged with BBW Aftermath Sales again, at the same place. Hahaha. :D This time, I came as the EX-crew, (sounded so old omg /.\ ) and I was assigned as one of those ex-crews to lead the new team members. :)
Truth be told, the last time I led such a huge team was during the time in high school. I tried my best in assisting them, giving them work to do equally, helping each team, and interacting well with them. My section this time is Non-fiction which was very huge. 72 islands (2x2 long tables) can you imagine. T___T The hall was somehow smaller, 1/3 of the huge hall last time! Books are lesser, the spaces were quite limited for walking. The most crazy incident that happened for this sales was the queue which was super duper long, until the customers have to make a S shape from the entrance. Yeh, queue from cashier counter until the main entrance and from the main entrance until.. nowhere. :O
Hahaha. The people I met there (mostly juniors) were generally nice. In the end, I am able to manage my section well and this is all thanks to my team mates who did their job well too. :)
Let me present you some group photos. :D

Aftermath Book Sales :)
Hi, I am a temporary iron lady. :3
Lessons learnt!
When we just get to know a person, all we see is appearance, the surface of the heart which is so pure and innocent. When we get to know the person deeper, (as time goes along), we'll finally see the colour of the heart, the true personality and all the bads -attitudes/manners/temper/whatever. Hence, don't judge when we first see a person, how he/she/they treat us on the first day knowing us will be soo completely different compared to the 54th day of knowing each other. (Well, just saying anyway). A few of my friends and I were being accused on the first day, it was not so pleasant at all. So 'sueh' on the first day itself, but we were friends after that. Oh yeah, please standup for youself if you did nothing wrong. Be nice to everyone you meet, but be wise at the same time. I found out that some people are good in talking, bossing around, ordering/instructing, lazying - are never good at doing their work properly. Keyboard warriors as they say. :/
Mouth -other than to eat, it is used to talk, but words cannot be given out based on temporary dissatisfaction or bad temper. Once they are blurted out, we'll feel extremely sorry. Another point I'd like to point out is, do not be disrespectful. Whoever we are going meet, they have something to teach us. Do not belittle anybody, learn from what they have to offer instead.
P/S : I found it very enjoyable to work with books. I am happy to be able to help all the customers that I have encountered to find the books that they want. :) The "thank you thank you thank you so much!" reply to your favor feels so nice. The process of finding the books indeed were tough, but it was all worth it in the end. I like it! :)
PP/S : The most proud experience I had was that I made a customer dissapointed because I can't find the book that she wanted, however in the very last minute. I FOUND IT. Praise to lord, I searched for the customer (who wanted it) in the sea of crowd and praise to lord once again, I found her. It was a grateful day :')
PPP/S : If you ask me whether will I work with BBW again, I'll hesitate no more but to say yes. :)
PPPP/S : By the way, this blogpost has no intention in offending anyone. If my words happened to hurt you in anyway, please accept my deepest apology.
PPPPP/S : BBW Book Sales was held at Penang a few weeks ago and now they are heading to Kuantan! Please support and get the information on their facebook page. :) https://www.facebook.com/bbwbooks
PPPPPP/S : HEY I AM DONE WITH THIS BLOGPOST HAHAHA YAY.

Campbell's point of views ;
"You don't love someone because they're perfect," she says. "You love them in spite of the fact that they're not."
I don't know how to respond to that; it's like being told after thirty-five years that the sky, which I've seen as a brilliant blue, is in fact rather green.
"And another thing- this time, you don't get to leave me. I'm going to leave you."
If possible, that only makes me feel worse. I try to pretend it doesn't hurt, but I don't have the energy. "So go."
Julia settles next to me. "I will." she says. "In another fifty or sixty years."

Anna ;
"I was born for a specific purpose. I wasn't the result of a cheap bottle of wine or a full moon or the heat of the moment. I was born because a scientist managed to hook up my mother's eggs and my father's sperm to create a specific combination of precious genetic material. I didn't get here by accident."

New habit pick up ;
Hey ho, buds. (informal short form of buddies)
This was supposed to be posted last Friday but I delayed it until today. #epicfail
HIII! -once again.
Last Friday marks the end of my trials exam (not exactly) but yes. I've gained 78% of the freedom back.
Self-hooray.
I did not do very well for Physics, honestly speaking. All I hope was just luck and at least a little bit blessing from dear God. :(
Speaking of being emo, I was kinda-well-sorta-depressed that day because the paper ended at 11.15am, which I considered it was too early for lunch? I skipped my lunch anyway so I rested myself on the canteen's blue chair, chatting with dear friends!
My plan for the day was :
1) To go to Pavillion's Typo (A very unique stationery shop) to spend my RM100 book voucher that were left unused since February.
2) Stroll around Kinokuniya and KLCC.
with.. friends.
Unfortunately, none of them is interested to go, so I went there alone, all by myself.
Woo. My first time, actually. :)
So when I first reached KLCC, I made my appearance (a real quick one) at Kino, to quickly browse through the HotShot book by the Star photographers. :) Upon admiring the beauty-meaning-ful photos, I feel so much inspired, to become anyone of them. :) Their skilful shots just made me love the book to bits! ♥
Since I have not yet explored the second floor of the bookstore, up I went, with my thoroughly heavy schoolbag, yet with a smile. :)
Spot photography books section, fashion, art, and so much more. While waiting for the time to pass, I sat on the floor, like the guy next shelf :P and took one of the book toread flip.
Most of the books were sealed so I couldn't flip or look at the content much.
The clock hand showed two, as I told myself :
After phonecalled Jan for direction, I zoomed at my fastest speed to the shop that I wanted to go without looking left or right.
Hahahaha. Dramatic, isn't it? :P
Before I started to walk (fast, like usual), I stopped by at one of my favourite store!
Hehehehe BOOST that is! I had a "BananaBuzz" which costed me around RM 7? Time to treat myself good, for once.
On my way there, I almost got lost but thanks to the guider there, I got my way right.
Met Yuqing and some A-class boys (who were walking to KLCC for SNSD concert!) :)
Sorry YQ, as I was on the rush (real rush) to you so-you-know, an urgent place before the shop so I couldn't talk to you much with my best calm voice. My apology!
...
At the Typo stationery shop, I was glad yet dissapointed because apparently they don't verify nor receive any students' book voucher. :( And most of the stuff that I saw when I first stepped in to the shop wasn't there anymore. :(
Guess it wasn't my luck then! Somehow, I'll save some cash and definitely will go there again. :)
Enough of the morning's depression, this automatically increased my level of depression! ><
Brrrrrrr. Walked back to KLCC with a :L face.
Plenty time I had, so what did I do then?
I walked.walked.walked. back to Kinokuniya, and toured around the literature section again. There were a few people who sat down comfortably on the floor, leaning against the glass window and reading the books that interested them.
Being fascinated, I did the same too, by picking a non-fiction book and sat at the edge of the BESTSELLINGBOOKS section.
It was a little bit boring as I was kept yawning, closing my mouth with both hands because I didn't get enough sleep the night before. But soon, I overcame it.

This book, suprisingly is interesting unlike any other non-fiction books that I've read.
It's about.. our mental health, our behaviour as well as the why(s) , the research(s), the link(s) and many many more.
There are a lot of true facts and quotable sayings too!
For example?

Isn't that true?

Yeap. It's a psychology book that I picked. A pretty attractive, one. :)
I did not finish the book, as I need to go back home very soon.
Then I decided to spend the book voucher on that day itself, so as to not waste. Instead of choosing another novel, I went to self-enrichment section, thinking of buying an inspirational book.
BUT!

1) A photography notebook
2) A novel
3) WRECK THIS JOURNAL.
4) A photo album for myself. :)
5) A ES-calculator (no photo).
Kinda worth it and self-satisfaction is raised! :)
Self-taught-lessons ;
To be able to travel alone, is a good thing, a good experience and is an adventure. To read a book on the floor makes me feel like a 7-year-old-kid again, reading passionately, and ignoring the world around you. #imissmychildhood. :) To develop a habit of reading is tough if you are not a regular reader but come to think about it. Reading is fun. It's a new habit that I'm gonna pick up again, after I ditched it due to the lack of time. Trust me, I'll be back to the reading world again. :)
For being alone doesn't makes you a loner but it is apart of everybody's independent life. Sometimes, you don't need a lot of reasons to make yourself happy. Just look at people around you, look at the simplest things, look at what you have and what they don't. Smile and say, it's okay. As time passes, the mood will heal itself, and you just gotta tell yourself this:
Life. This is life.

GAHH. THIS.
You have no idea of what this is?
Seriously?
Google search quick!
Google search quick!
It's actually a empty-spaced journal with instructions each page. YOU- as the owner of journal should do what the instruction says so the author call it "WRECK THE JOURNAL" because most of the instructions are nasty, nor disgusting but full of creativity. :)
Example?
- Chew this page.
- Chew this page.
- Spit your coffee on this page.
- Create an endless line.
- Document your dinner.

- Document your dinner.
I was suprised to see this appearing at Malaysia's bookstore because I thought THIS is only available at Europe/America. Woo.
Before I saw this, I spotted "THIS IS NOT A BOOK" by the same author, Keri Smith. I believe it's a continuation of "Wreck This Journal".

As I was holding the book, while considering whether -to buy or not,
a random guy grabbed another W.T.J from the shelf and ran away. :O
Without further hesitation, I grasp tightly and headed to the counter.
Summary of the post : I used the voucher to buy myself..

1) A photography notebook

Message In A Bottle ;
Just this morning, i just finished reading a book of a beautiful yet touching story by Nicholas Spark.
The storyline is really really beautiful and smooth, i can't describe here,
Because i can write a very very long essay then, i better not summarise it
and i reccomend you people to read the book by yourself,
Plus, you wouldn't want to read an extra long post of mine, don't you?
*grins*
The writer, is good in creating suspense, which brings alot of
excitement,
dissapointment,
sweet as well as
depresssing moments.
So far, this is the first book which touched me,
Well i dropped my tears thrice.
I ain't sensitive, but it's really really upset and dissapointing.
And the feeling when you expect something good turned into a worse disaster.
Somehow, it's not a happy ending but it's a good book.
Seriously.
I rate this book 4.5 / 5.0 ;)
I don't give it a full mark because, the ending's quite sad and TOO MANY 'making love' scenes :P
Which i don't really like, lol
Of how they describe it very clearly from the starting point to ha-so you-know.
I found it rather annoying, but it's okay.
I'll used to it soon, i guess :X
It's a very old book, i suppose.
I think, the cover of the book is keeping renewing and renewing.
You can always find them in Popular bookstore, Borders or even MPH.
The stocks are always available ;)
They even has produced a movie, 11 years ago, in 1999.
Here, is the website ;) http://message-bottle.warnerbros.com/
