Bzzz bzzz bzzz ;

(Orientation Part Two).
This blogpost will be about the orientation activities with our dear seniors and is written by ME, (a junior's point of view), so if there's anything offensive or anything wrong in grammatical wise, please accept my apologies before hand.
[Note : Content of the post is HELL LONG. ]

HAHAHAHA okay let's begin! The introduction of the whole orientation (Step by Step) by le seniors started about... five in the evening? I couldn't remember, we were on our respective seats, enjoying the introduction videos created by them. A few words came right out of my mind after watching all the videos, that was :

WOW. THAT IS COOL...
anddddddd creative.

Then [FLASHMOB] almost all the seniors danced at the centre of the auditorium halls, dancing to the song "Good Times" by Owl City and Carly Rae Japsen. In return, they received thunderous applause and crazy cheers from the juniors. It was really warm and thank you very much for welcoming us :))

As we were all divided into groups of different animals, (I'm in Bee) all of us were assigned by seniors to find our group members by imitating the sound that the animal group we're in. Like mine, I have to Bzz Bzz Bzz. (lol) hahaha nevertheless, I found my Bee group as I've known some *coughs* Bee members (like.. Amber) before this :P After that, we (the Bee group) went to somewhere outside of the auditorium hall, to get to know each other - you know, the ice-breaking session.
At first, it was pretty awkward that no one actually spoke anything until..... Maple volunteered to speak in the group, followed by Shamilla and the rest. (phew) The intimacy was getting better when it comes to creating our group cheers. At night, our group leader, Canon created a group at facebook as well as added us in the group chat.. to my surprise, my groupmates were pretty active in giving ideas-opinions for the flag design- which was a really good thing. :D Haha okay full stop, that's the end of the first day.

......

On the second day, we met up in the cafeteria for lunch, sketched out our Bee flag, and in the evening, seniors and us painted together... (if you are wondering how it looks like...)

There.

Pretty? Bossy? Hehehe
F.Y.I, my group's name is.. BEE a BOSS. So now you understand why there's a look alike-boss face on that BEE. xD At late evening, our OO leader, En Shen (I call him BOSS) ordered Domino pizza for us as dinner! How awesomeeee.

After the dinner, we edited our group cheers a little bit since our cheers didn't have any claps or stumps. Hence in the end, it turns out to be...

Girls/Guys/together

Hey taukeh, say WHAAAAAAAT?
Who are WE?
B.
B what?
B.E.E.
B what?
BEE A BOSS!
*claps - taktak taktaktak taktaktaktak taktak*
OH YESSSSSS (with a oh yes pose).

Pretty #oomph in my opinion, and there we went with that cheer throughout the whole orientation :))
At night, during the 'Game Night', all of us were pretty anxious-excited-nervous-you-name-it. In the first few stations, we won and completed the task given before the siren rang.. until we reached a station on the first floor... we totally went from damn semangat to damn exhausted.. yes if you can recall, it's the human-CENTIPEDE-game.. tsk tsk, that game was really. . . . . . not awesome (sorry to say that), as most of our ass-es were hurt after constantly moving (for almost one ROUND.. goshhh) by sliding on the flat floor using our... errr butts. :/ Nyeh. Other stations were okay, quite challenging in a way but tiringgggggg.

To me, the station I like the most was the first station (obstacles) where a few groups of 3 and 4 were blindfolded, muted, handicapped (legs/hands tied) and with that, we needed to go through the obstacles no matter by crawling, slithering, sliding, jumping, etc. That's really nerve-wrecking, challenging and fun. I totally love my group's cooperation, trust, and of course TEAMWORK. Because of all these, we managed to complete the task in a very short time. Bravo, guys I'm so proud of you all! <3

Group photo <3 :D

Conlusion of the day : Intense, tiring but awesome!

...
On the third day, we started our signature hunting at the cafeteria! We were asked to do all sorts of things -be it embarassing or not, we have to. Hahaha for example? Sing any song loudly in front of the seniors, group cheering loudly so that everybody hears, etc. Well that's still okay, not that bad yet! XD Haha

-more briefings during the day-

At night, seniors tapao (packed) food for us again, so in total we had two meals together already :D Hee, and then IMU'S RUNNING MAN began! *loud cheers*
Initially I can't join the activitiy on that day due to some matters but thankfully it was cancelled so I can join my group to battle again! #oomph #oomph

There were thirty stations in total, no time limit this time -just that we need to go and complete the task at as many stations as we can. Some challenges were quite easy, some were time-consuming (we mostly skipped that), some were awesome! (once again). My personal favourite would be the one where our head laid on our teammate's thigh while holding their legs in a circle - in which the chairs under us were being removed one by one, ended up WE- support each other by holding each other's legs. Again, TEAMWORK rules. :]

There was this one moment when a few of my teammates' tags were being snatched by other group members.. Damn itchy la their hands... Feeling nervous and afraid that our tags will be snatched as well, we ran while being surrounded by our super protective OO leaders, lol. #thisisrunningmanbaby

Upon feeling a little bit angry, one of our OO leaders, Ajira shouted,

"JOKK SEII AHH!"

at a super loud volume

means, "HOW DARE YOU" in English, hahahaha. It was damn epic when she said thaaat! XD

#jokkseii #runningman #rampastagmoment

After the game ended, we were crowned as one of the top six, and then all of us were given a ball knots of ropes. Basically we need to untie the knot, and to get a straight-line-rope, without circling them or whatsoever. We didn't get to untie the whole thing but well, we have done our best. Once and for more,

I'm proud of you all!!!! :D

......

Day four : Rehearsal of Variety Night.
Nothing much, just did a lot of discussion, changed the plot every now and then since one of the VP's said, it's complicated, so most of us ended up frustrated, unsettled and worried. But THAT did not stop us from keep going, adding and modifying the idea that each of us has :D As we hadn't filled up our stomach, we decided to have dinner together! <3

Rushed back to uni for dance practice, rehearsed, planned and replanned, and finally came to a conclusion about our performance (rehearsal). Following the schedule, we went to Lecture Theatre 2 (LT2) to familarise ourselves with the stage but the whole LT2 was reserved by our grand seniors for their dance practices :( We went back to where we practised earlier with a little bit dissapointment yet THAT once again never stop putting smile on our faces when our OO leaders gave us lots of supporting and encouraging advices :D

.....

Day five : Variety night!

Had only an hour briefing in the morning then off we went for signature hunting! Some of the assigned tasks given were waddle in a circle while chanting QUACK QUACK QUACK (imagine we did it in front of the crowd just outside of the library :3 :3), snap photos with 5 fellas with red top, stopped a bunch of guys and sang Happy Birthday song (in the form of quack quack sound again) and so much more. LOL

During late afternoon, everybody practised again and again, with props this time.

Things got better and off we went to the most top floor to have our buffet dinner together. Everybody thought they have extra time to rehearse one more time yet we were wrong. Instead, due to the rush and intensing hour, our actors rushed here and there for their costumes as well as putting on their make up. Thankfully everything was ready on time. :)
And,
The Variety Night began!

Everybody was nervous OBVIOUSLY, hahaha. Tbh, I was excited because it was my first time standing on stage perform with a group of people again after such a long time! :D
I gotta say that some performances were amazing, especially Wolverine's performance. I totally love their creativity in their sketch, acting skills and also the sound effect. Oh not to mention, grand seniors' performance was a blast! (I don't have a video of them here, too bad)
When it was our group's turn, all my excited feelings had transformed into nervous-shit-it-is-our-turn's-sweats, wondering what will be happening after that. A lot of what if(s) went through my mind but I brushed them off and told myself,

"What we're going to do, is to show them what we've practised all this while and last but not least to have a great fun with my teammates"

At last, our performance was a marvelous one, a lot of compliments and applauses kept coming after us. :D

I'm proud of my teammates, my group, and of course my awesome seniors!
We have Everybody had done a good job!
Big round of applause to everyone out there *claps claps claps

Later on, the night ended with a few emotional videos specially dedicated to the VPs and President by the committee members, the whole video was a mixture of hilarious, touching and sweet :')
I know you guys have received a lot of thank you(s) from practically everyone, but I just wanna say thank you very much again to Kean Heng (President), Wen Jing, Nicole and Kiow (VP's), all OO leaders and to everyone who contributed their sleepless nights, energy, efforts, commitments, and responsibilities in organising this orientation. Definitely not an easy job we all know that. Just, thank youuuu! :)

Last but not least, the bee group camwhore like nobody's business, then....still camwhore like nobody cares.. and still camwhore camwhore camwhore camwhore... #LIKEABOSS
.

Needless to say, it was a fun orientation indeed! :]

Here are some words to the seniors (from me!) :
(Boss) En Shen - Thanks for telling us your stories, your experiences, and your opinions about anything. You're a good, enthusiastic leader, who always try to back us up no matter what, not to mention FUNNY, especially when you're trying to dance like a PRO. Hahaha, keep it up the perasan and entertainment side of you boss! Although beh paiseh (tak tahu malu xD), you're still awesome and pleaseeeee don't treat us like mice/rat in the near future ok, hahaha xD

(Penguin) Yik Wei- A strict, yet extremely cute leader whom I love to disturb, who's strict at work, yet funny at the right time. That's you, Penguin! Hehehe, no offense ya if all of us call you that? :D :D Just so you know, penguins are adorable!! Hehe, you are too! Basically, you're a nice person to know with and please smile often when you're not in your oh-so-serious mode! You look best when you smile :D
