Hi, meet one of my close friends at college, Carmen Leong! :D

Raya @Nazira's!
Fasting month is over, Raya's almost over too! Exactly two weeks ago, I was invited by my Convent junior to her Raya Open House, at Bangi, somewhere near my house. Knowing that Sha is going too, we decided to go together as the *coughs 'seniors' - haha. Food and everything was perfect, thank you very much to Nazira for the warm hospitality and service :D

Meetup with teachers @School!

It was a last minute plan, I admit as I didn't plan to go at first since I got notified by Pn. Tan via sms saying that the Sports Day this year will be tad boring, as most of the form five students will be MOSTLY absent due to the upcoming exam the following week. I was like what? Okay, Sports Day this year is gonna be another dull one, after I left school for like.. 3 years? Meh, yet my purpose initially was to meet and update the teachers with my future plans, where I'm gonna head to, etc etc. So screw it, let's just go back and talk to the teachers (ignoring the boredom of the Sports Day, haha).

Anyhoo, met most of the teachers, had a chit-chat session with each of them, saying hello and such, they were glad to see us (ex-students) - me, Sha and Nadia, and a few seniors who came earlier, AND not to forget my same badge friend, Ashwini :)

Congratulation to Rumah Cempaka (Blue House) for getting the first place once again for the second year. The second placing goes to Rumah Seroja (Green House), and followed by Rumah Mawar (Red) and Rumah Kenanga (Yellow).

Tbh, the atmosphere was totally different from how it was used to be. The crowd.. the cheers.. the spirit.. totally imcomparable to those times when I was under my strict - SEMANGAT (tahap dewa) seniors.
Really miss those crazy moments :')
So I asked the teachers, what has changed?

The discipline. Student's behaviour and attitudes. Some of them are disrespectful.

Nehh basically nothing much changes. It's still the same.

Oh yes! Many trips and projects are being carried out lately at school, by UKM and other really nice sponsors.

No intan-berlian-zamrud-nilam-mutiara (name) classes anymore for f4 students this year. The names have changed to Amethyst, Opal, Ruby, etc.

Look! More rooftop and the Koperasi have shifted!

In my opinion, the environment (mostly) changed. The MAIN cocurriculum boards along the corridors are no longer filled with stick-it notes, announcement slips, and decorations done by the competitive clubs and societies, maybe they did it somewhere, idk. The cement stairs are now tiled, the stair down to f1-f3 classes now has a banister, the guide's cottage is new, more rooftop besides the astaka, shifted koperasi, more modern murals (unlike my times.. the murals are mostly based on nature/patriotic themes), and.. that's all I guess. That's all I've seen and noticed SO FAR.

As in for teachers, good ol' teachers are leaving one by one upon their retirements.. I guess in another ten years, Convent will be a place, mostly replaced with new teachers and I hope there will be a better change towards our school's environment, discipline and maintain the excellency no matter in district, state or national state :')

From top left to bottom right : Pn. Lim C.E (who has just retired recently :') ), Pn. Najihah (my f1 and f2 dear English teacher <3 ), Pn. Nirmala (my best Discipline teacher :D ), Pn. Asmah (my best Bio teacher <3 ), Pn. Rohana (my Ibu! class teacher for f4 and f5 :D ), Pn. Tan (my buddy! Hahaha, she's one of the most sporting teacher I've known), Pn. Rosliza (one of my favourite teacher :D ), Pn. Lily (My f3 awesome Science teacher :D )

As my friends and I were on a rush, I didn't get to snap photos with the rest of the teachers. Nonetheless, this is good enough :) 90% of the teachers whom I know commented,

"Hoah, you look like a Korean superstar!"
"Tengok rupa macam orang Korea"

I was like..... ....... (you know) ... ... ..... ..... (erm what?)

Okay, that's soooooo weird. Lol. Funny, but I'll take that as a compliment, haha.
Once again, it was nice to see them and I think the next time I'll meet them will be next year or the following year? :)

Family reunion @Kajang and @KLIA!

Last night, we sent mum off to KLIA because she's joining her family for a trip to Beijing!
She's not going alone from Malaysia of course, as grandma, aunties and uncle will be departing together with her.

Grandma and Aunt just came to Malaysia a day before yesterday, so they dropped by at Kajang yesterday afternoon, just to have a short reunion with us before they proceeded to visit their relatives in Ampang, PJ and KL. It was very rushing, tbh.
Albeit it was a brief meetup, I'm sure when they come back from China later, there will be plenty of  days for reunion. :) Have a safe and great trip, dear all!

....

Basically, that's how my August went - APART from self studying, watching movies, house chores, reading novels/articles and some lifeless activities. Heh guess what? It's 30th of August, the eve of Merdeka celebration.. how ironic that I don't feel anything this year. As in, I don't feel any Merdeka spirit at all. Why ehh?
*shrugs*
