Ignore the title of the pictures. I was just simply exxagerating ;b
There was no way that we could go to all these places by a car, because reason number #1, we don't have any P license yet , reason number #2, we don't plan to pay so much parking fees nor interest in finding any parking places as so you know, KL is always busy with vehicles and reason number #3, we prefer public transport :)
Needless to say, train is always our best friend, except the fact that we have to JAM-PACK(!) , experiencng the feeling of being a sardine with the crowd, during the peak hours. That sucks, really.
Incase you're wondering, I received an e-mail from nuffnang on my birthday last Thursday, saying that I've been selected to receive FOUR (4) complimentary passes for any movie at TGV cinemas nationwide. Oh no, oh no. I said what?
I said : ULTRA COOL, man!
Feeling shock, I thought I was dreaming. No, I wasn't. It was true, until I read THIS.
I feel outdated -___- as usual.
On a brighter note, I was one of the lucky one to actually get chosen for that.
So Jyeah.
Oh well. I've decided to collect the tickets with Alia since she agreed that she would love to explore the whole KL :b
The day before today, I phone-called the office, asking for direction if we were to go by train. Hung up, googled about the place, printed the map, slept. There I go.
Around 9.15 am, Alia's family fetched us to the UKM station, which we thanked god that the amount of people were less than we expected. The train arrived in a minute or less, hence we squeezed ourselves in the non-lady couch. I didn't realised how many minutes the train brought us to KL Sentral station, but what I knew was I can't stop talking with my best friend almost about anything :)
From KL Sentral, we got to walk down the stairs, then cross a few roads to the monorail station. Then we took the monorail and within 5-10 minutes, we've arrived at the Medan Tuanku station. That's when our adventures really began. As we are not KL people, we are definitely not familiar with all the roads.
After that, we met two stairs from the station which one was left and the other one was right.
By recognising the brown building on my left, we walked down the stairs, slowly and saw

When we proceed further, we saw this :
Sheraton Hotel |
Tadaa! We are here already! Hehehe.
Nuffnang's office is in the Heritage House a.k.a (Wisma Warisan). We went in, to see a sign board showing Nuffnang's office floor, which was 12 B. Weird huh?
When we got up, the building looks like a hotel with many many rooms. Nonetheless, we searched and found the room that we wanted :P
There you see. I gently knocked the door and was greeted by a very pleasant lady. I told her our purpose (is to collect the tickets, erhem, this and that), which then I signed my name and left the small-orange office. Oh wow. THAAAAAAAAAAAAT easy! :D
Ally and I were a little shocked because ..
1. we thought Nuffnang office would be H.U.G.E, you know.
2. we were thinking what shall we do next since it's only 10.50 AM.
Pfffts.
With our unsure faces, we got the best idea, that was to toss a coin.
Head : Time Square Tail : KLCC
Guess what we got? :P
We walked back to the Medan Tuanku monorail, decided to go to Imbi station, which literally connected to the shopping centre called by the name T. *smirks
Our first stop was Borders, the bookstore that files for bankcrupty?! Wth. Was it true neway?
It was really pathetic to see the only one floor of Borders, lesser books, less interesting.
Then, we carried on with our brief travel by foot to either clothing stores or the delicious-looking restaurant. God knows, we ended up eating at Oldtown White coffee, which was located next to the cinema. Since it was still 12 almost to 1, we wanted to watch any movie, to spend the free time that we have, but too bad, none of the movie in the list was nice.
To energize ourself, we did some exercise and made our way to Sg. Wang *smirks again
It was pretty awesome though, walking and crossing the very busy Bukit Bintang road. Hehe, I'm being weird I know :P
Walked.sat.walked.sat. Karaoke was too expensive, as we had reach the "happy hours" which actually cost rm 22 per person (Y__Y) Very "happy" to see the price indeed.
*insert sarcasm here*
Honestly speaking, the MPH bookstore here was darn boring! No offence though.
We tossed a coin again, determining our nextfate place I mean (chehh) , the head showed us that we GOT TO head to Pavillion KL! Booyeah :P
We tossed a coin again, determining our next
We spent only around an hour there, reading CLEO and SEVENTEEN magazine at The Times bookstore (The only bookstore in Pavillion). The books available here were nicely arranged, organized, better 100x than Time Square's Borders or Sg Wang's MPH.
1. and 2. Monorail 3. Old Town White Cofee 4. Sg. Wang 5. Pavillion, KL |
Time showed 3.30pm, and it's time to go back. We headed to Bukit Bintang monorail station, to take the monorail back to KL Sentral. From the main station, we took the Kereta api Tanah Melayu to go back to the UKM station.
Otw back, both of us were bathed with heavy sweats. But that didn't stop us from chatting like we own the world, where people kept staring at us. Mehh, we don't really care though :P
Here are some of our conclusions :
- Feelings of the day : Both happy and exhausted
- Gifts of the day : A jigsaw puzzle and a hair clip [from me to ally :) ]
- Friendship gift of the day : Ring
- Fate of the day : Tossing 20 cent coin :b
- Record of the day : Explore four places in 6 hours. (well not literally explore, just walk through)
I -hereby, specially want to thank GOOGLE MAP for being so efficient, and some of the blogs I read via google search.
I'm sorry if I've not explained it well here but you can read this > blog (if you happened to go to Nuffnang office one day)
This was the first blog I read which I really got to know the direction perfectly well and how exactly Nuffnang office looks like.
Other than that, a huge shoutout to TGV Cinemas for being so incredibly awesome for giving me this super sweet birthday surprise ;)
Thank you Nuffnang!
