It was the JPA interview that I mentioned in my previous post.
Well oh well, it was thoroughly okay. It could have been worse if my language skills suck even more -__-
I'm going to share my thoughts and experience here, like how the students did in Recom Forum :)Well oh well, it was thoroughly okay. It could have been worse if my language skills suck even more -__-
Course applied: Bidang Sains (major in Psychology)
Venue: UNITEN, Putrajaya
Time: 3.45pm
Panel: 3
Time taken : Roughly around 50 minutes.
Attire : Formal (I wore baju kurung) :)
Interviewees: 4 girls 1guy [3 chinese girls (Amy, Ameline, me) , a malay girl (Siti Khadijah) and an indian guy (Ravi) ]
The letter stated to reach 30 minutes earlier, which is around 3.15pm? GUESS WHAT?! I was late -__- as in, I reached at 3.30pm instead of 3.15pm (Don't ever ask me why, cos' I don't want to mention about it. But a sure thing is, it's stupid).
Felt damn shitty but thank god, I didn't get any scoldings. *relieved*
I walked to panel (3) with my BEST-quiet way, but all the interviewees were staring at me like I'm a VIP or something. Seriously, no joke. I fastened my pavement and tried to smile?
Aha, I saw my schoolmate, Yan Ni! Waved at her, of course! But I didn't get to talk to her though :(
Upon reaching my panel's table, I registered by signing my name and I noted that I was the last person to reach in my group > -___- Saw my group members, immediately greeted and talked to them like they're my long lost old friends. LOL
We were discussing topics that the interviewers might ask while waiting. Then, there's this girl, a Sri Petaling schoolgirl came and talked to us. She's quite friendly, I must say :) She looks familiar, like one of my senior's sister or something.
We had fun talking, actually. Easing the tension, I suppose?
Around 4.10pm, we were asked to line up. Everyone was given a number tag. Good god, I WAS NUMBER ONE > -____-
Needless to say, I smiled REAL wide, oh well. First impression kan? lol
There was a distance of around 1 metre between the interviewer's table and our chairs. We greeted them, did NOT sit unless we're told to. Aha, the panels are friendly looking, so definitely don't bite.

The man (who sat at the centre) spoke and gave some brief introduction.
As I was the so brilliant number one you know, (-__-) I was told to start my self-introduction first. Gahhh-Geee-Behhh-Booo. There I went, talking, telling them my achievements at school which was not thaaaat great actually but I went on with so much confidence as though that I was so great. Hahaha. Oh well :b
The 2nd girl (Ameline) was good. She was netball club's chairperson, represented school for 2 years, won first and second placing. I meant like, HOW AWESOME WAS THAT? :D
Next was Amy and Ravi after that. Both of them presented themselves SO WELL. Khadijah wasn't that bad too :) When everyone was done with their self-introduction part, I was thinking that, wow oh wow, their coccuriculum is so good! Haha
The panels (interviewers) continued by asking us which course and which local U we wished to study. (No why/s). That's like oh, really?
However, we answered accordingly starting from Khadijah.

Thennnnn, the panels started their job to ask their general question. O.O
In BM, the lady asked : Penggunaan facebook semakin meningkat pada hari ini. Nyatakan kebaikan dan keburukan penggunaan facebook.
Now how would you response to this? lol
We were asked to discuss in group, our opinions, points, etc. So we did! It was rather general and funny though. Later on, everyone of us presented the points despite the number of turns.
Like always, I often run out of words, I was just hoping that the panels got the idea that I want to send :( After all the discussion, the panels praised us for having a good language skills for English. lololol Not really, I think. All of us were speaking normal English, not as perfect as the debater.
Moving on, the panels would like to know our opinions about :
Sebagaimana anda tahu, penggunaan facebook yang semakin berluasa ini tidak membawa banyak kebaikan. Bagaimana rasanya untuk mengurangkan.. Apa yang kita boleh lakukan? (something like that, couldn't remember)
Well, Ameline started off by telling her opinions first. Others were following, as I was stunned, looking at them, expressing the ideas while I can't stop raising my hand to voice out my opinion. I sounded kinda desperate aha but that was not really obvious. Just tiny bit of desperation to answer and get done with the points before they are being washed off from my brain! Feeling so left out, I threw all the isi karangan that we used to do in high school to the panels. You know those peranan ibu bapa, didikan agama, tanggungjawab sekolah thing? Yeh, I mentioned all that. My sentences were a little bit unorganized but I think the panels understood what was I talking. :3
There were also some laughable moments.
Ravi/Ameline/Panels/Amy/Me/Khadijah/All of us
Outside of the room.. As the previous badge came out of the room..
Ahhh.
Tsk tsk! *tension arise
Chill chill *pats her shoulder
We all should smile when we are facing the judges.
Yes! We must show our teeth! *grins alone
ROFL
During discussion..
Remaja kurang bersenam.
Betul betul.
Senaman otak, lol
*laughs*

For the 1st general question :
Pengunaan facebook yang terlalu banyak akan membuatkan mata kita..
Rabun!
Hahaha!
For the 2nd general question:
Pelajar sendiri patut mempuyai displin diri. Kita sepatutnya menyediakan jadual belajar, untuk mendisplinkan diri, dan kurangkan pengunaan facebook. Ibu bapa juga harus kerap menegur anak-anak, etc etc (something like that)
Kalau kamu tinggal di luar negara?
Oh! Mereka boleh berkomunikasi melalui SKYPEE! (sounded cute because she pronounced as skype-peeeeeeee in a fun way)
Hahaha!

Thank god, none of the panels shoot any of my answers. If you get what I meant by the word "shoot". Aha, I guess, my answers were randomly general, very safe. Last but not least,
The panel : Di sini sahaja sesi temuduga pada hari ini. Everyone (especially ME) was like HAR?! Sebelum itu, ada apa-apa pertanyaan?
So-lmao. I thought there were more challenging questions coming in like : Homesick students. Ways to overcome? or maybeee Restriction of 10 subjects in SPM. Discuss.
I was worry that I will not be able to answer all those fact-related question but god knows, we were lucky! :)
We shook their hands, waving goodbye, saying countless thank you(s) and of course smiling like jakuns. HEEHEE.
All of us were so relieved, to go out of the interview room with STYLE. Ahahaha.
It's like we've just finished our last SPM paper :D
Before each of us went back, we exchanged contact numbers and e-mails to keep in touch and promised to text each other whether if we get the scholarship or not.
What a day. yayhoo. I smell FREEDOM. Ehehehehe.
Rating : 6/10 (Because I was late. AHHHH don't mention, hate it. Second, I need to improvise the way I present myself. As in, I got the ideas in my head you know, it's just that my the way I present them in a sentence form is pure suck-ass. :( )
Advice : Do not be late. There was this one girl who was awfully late I guess. She missed the introduction part and just went into the interview room just like that. 0_0 I wonder if the panels screwed her badly, lol. I am so bad. Ahaa. Next, please communicate with your group members before the interview. Please, don't try to make friends with them ONLY in the interview room. You'll need to heat up and start socialising! :) Discuss the topics that the panels might ask and don't stop questioning each other! This will somehow will reduce the tension and please have fun making new friends. :) Also, be yourself and be confident in speaking. Look at every panel when answering. Never let the nervous over runs you. Stay chill, and smile! SMILE okay. No matter what the crap answers you gave, just smile. That shows that you're confident. Ahaha. Anddd please answer according to the language asked. If can, don't insert errr.. ahhhhs.. eeees.. urmmmm.. Try not okay! (eventhough most of us did just now :P )
Conlusion : It was rather fun experience. Get to meet the 93' babies is somewhat I love to do if you know me well :b Oh yeh.
mmmmmMm. I guess, that's all from me?
